A true thriller in Boys 3 meters synchronized!
Last B-finals were seen on Saturday night. Probably the most thrilling final so far was seen at the end of this session.
Malofeev calm champion on 3 meters
Russian Maksim Malofeev ended his final on B Boys 3 meters with a great 305C on the final round. A solid 8,5 from the panel and he was crowned for European Champion with 459.30 points.
– This doesn't feel any special for me, my aim is clearly in Junior Worlds next month, Malofeev told.
Bohdan Chyzhovskyi from Ukraine earned silver with 431,15 points which was 7,25 better than Tyler Humphrey's result from Team GB.
Biginelli's first medal was golden
Team Italy celebrated their first gold medal on Saturday night. Maia Biginelli executed the most consistent performance in Girls B Platform final. Biginelli improved huge 37,5 points from prelims ending up winner with 337.10 points.
– I am so happy! It is my first European medal, Biginelli celebrated.
Nicoleta-Angelica Muscalu from Romania was in the lead ahead final and got silver in the end with 326.50 points. British Josie Zillig was bronze medalist with 315.70.
Open medals until the final dive
The gold medal in Boys 3 meters synchronized was a second gold for Team Spain and fifth medal in total. Adrian Abadia Garcia and Matthew Wade Gardiner have come a long way here:
– We have worked hard to combine studying and training and now it really pays off, Wade Gardiner explained.
Final was a real thriller. Winning points for Team Spain was 286.20 and there was only 0,36 margin ahead of Team Germany. Russian team followed also right on the tail 0,93 points behind Germany.
Team Russia tops the medal table before the last day (5+1+4). Germany follows second and Spain third.
